From the first chat on zoom, to spending an entire afternoon with her to offload our life stories, to script reviews, rehearsal & help on the day before and finally the day itself. In the lead up to the day, Anna was incredibly helpful with everything, always available to chat, and completely guided us through curating a ceremony that felt just right for us. On the day itself, she was such a calming & supportive presence for us both throughout. The ceremony felt so perfect and personal, and Anna conducted it with such joy, a fantastic style and just exactly how you would want! We had SO many friends and family specifically call out how fantastic Anna was, and how personal, engaging and different the ceremony felt compared to all the other weddings they'd been to. We had very little idea what we wanted when we contacted Anna, having only found out about Humanist wedding ceremonies a couple of days prior, but what we ended up with was beyond perfect. We very much wanted a celebratory, sweet and not cheesy or overly 'romantic' ceremony - but had every little else in mind other than "could you make it bird themed?" The answer to that was yes, and the end result was absolutely perfect, full of love and completely 'us'. “We feel very fortunate to have worked with Anna on the celebration of our civil partnership. She did such a wonderful job of getting to know us, and spoke so beautifully about our relationship, that our guests assumed that we were old friends! At our first meeting, Anna immediately put us at ease, and she offered to get started immediately – giving us loads of time to create our perfect ceremony, which helped to keep planning pressure to a minimum! For two people quite unused to talking about ourselves, we found it easy to discuss our lives with Anna. She managed to transform the information that she gently coaxed out of us into a relaxed, funny, philosophical, artistic, and emotionally-engaging script for our celebration. On the day, she remained calm and flexible, even when our outdoor ceremony was threatened by the British summer. On Anna’s direction, we pounced on what turned out to be a very narrow window of fine weather – and happily, we were partnered in the sunshine! We are generally uncomfortable when being the centre of attention – but what we had thought would be the hardest part of the day turned out to be the most special. The ceremony was and will remain our fondest memory of a perfect day!
